Privacy Policy
This policy describes how DocFusion (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit our website or use our products. It is provided for transparency; where it conflicts with a signed enterprise agreement, the contract controls.
1. Who we are
DocFusion is operated as part of the DocFusion product line. For privacy requests, contact us at privacy@docfusion.com or via our contact page.
2. Data we collect
- Account details you provide (name, email, organization) when you register or purchase.
- Billing identifiers processed by our payment partners (we do not store full card numbers on our servers).
- Usage and diagnostic data from the web portal (pages viewed, device/browser type, approximate region).
- Support communications you send us (email content, attachments you choose to provide).
The desktop recovery application is designed to perform read-only scans on storage you select. Recovery output is written only to destinations you choose. We do not upload the contents of your recovered files to our cloud unless you explicitly use a cloud feature that states otherwise.
3. How we use data
- To provide, secure and improve the service.
- To communicate about billing, incidents and product updates.
- To comply with law and defend our legal rights.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as fraud prevention and product analytics, balanced against your rights), and consent where required.
5. Retention
We retain account and billing records as needed for tax, accounting and dispute resolution. Marketing preferences and analytics identifiers are retained on shorter cycles and refreshed or deleted as operational needs allow.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact privacy@docfusion.com to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. International transfers
If we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.
8. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16. If you believe we have collected a child’s data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the website or by email where appropriate.
